Your Feedback Welcome

The project plans and specs for the Route 143 reconstruction called for temporary signals with detection for vehicles and pedestrians, as well as sequencing for pedestrians.
For the work that has been done to date, field decisions were made to eliminate the detection features and programming for pedestrians and phase the timing as per the manufacturer. So the Traffic Lights have just been on timers, vs having detection for oncoming vehicles and pedestrians.
The construction company is asking to be able to continue just using the timers for upcoming lane closures.
If you’d like to share feedback on this, please email the Selectboard at sboard@worthington-ma.us. We will be discussing this at the next Selectboard Meeting on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. (The meeting starts at 6:30 PM, and it will probably be 7:30 PM when we get to this. You can join virtually or in person)
