Hello, my name is Sarah McMullen and I am asking for your write-in vote for the open position on the Worthington School Committee.

My family and I have lived in town for three years, but we lived in Williamsburg for 15 years before our move. I vividly remember admiring the people of Worthington for standing up to save RH Conwell, and it is a pleasure to now be part of such a great community with an amazing school. It would be an honor to represent our community as a school committee member.
I currently have two children attending RH Conwell, and two children attending Hampshire Regional. I have many friends whose kids attend Smith Vocational, and know lots of great teachers and staff at all three schools. Our excellent public schools bring so much to our children and our communities, and I look forward to helping support that excellence for everyone.
My work experience is varied. I have been busy raising my family for the past several years, but most recently I owned my own landscape design and gardening business. I have worked as a teacher in several different settings: teaching English in Japan, teaching high school science in Springfield, teaching plant identification and landscape studio design courses at UMass. I studied Biology and Japanese at Smith College, and Landscape Architecture at UMass. I am an excellent listener and communicator, I am good at planning and budgeting, and I am a creative thinker.
If you would like to vote for me, please write in my full name, spelled correctly: Sarah McMullen
Thank you, and I look forward to seeing you around town.
