To the Highway Department and Chief Reinke:
On behalf of the townspeople of Worthington, the Selectboard would like to extend our thanks and our appreciation for the outstanding efforts of the Highway Department, its contracted snowplow drivers and the Police Department, during the demanding snowstorm last week.
You kept our roads clear and kept us safe, enabling emergency crews to access and repair downed wires and restore service as soon as possible. Chief Reinke kept us informed of problem areas which was invaluable in keeping our residents cognizant and secure.
This storm was a challenging undertaking which you all rose to meet. Keeping the many gravel roads in Town passable for residents and emergency vehicles is a daunting task. We realize how exhausting it must have been for all of you and we want you to know how much we appreciate your efforts.
Again, many thanks for jobs done above and beyond the norm. We are very grateful.
