Work has finally begun to repair the R. H. Conwell Siding. After a failed attempt to go out to bid in 2021 when prices skyrocketed, the town voted to appropriate the funds at the May 2022 Annual Town Meeting and was finally able to find a successful bidder on a scaled back project to reside and paint the newer sections of the R. H. Conwell School this summer.
The work commeneced this week and we’re hoping to have it complete before school starts. The old clapboards with the peeling paint are being removed, a new moisture barrier is being installed, new Hardie Board cement board siding and finally of course, new paint!
