South Worthlnaton Sunday celebrating “Nature and Neighbors” – the beauty surrounding us and our neighbors and friends!
Sundav. August 21 at 2:00 p.m.
We are delighted that third-generation Schrade-James family member, the multi-talented Christopher James, will again join our program on the old pump organ, as well as on the cello. Christopher, son of David James and the late Robelyn Schrade-James, is a key contributor to the celebrated Sevenars Concerts. Additionally, Worthington resident Mary Wheelan will perform her original poem/song “Shine” about neighbors in the Hilltowns. We will also share an original poem/prayer by Russell H. Conwell, dated November 1925. The afternoon will conclude with light refreshments.
A free-will offering will be gratefully accepted to help us maintain this beautiful old building, included in the South Worthington National Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places.
We Jook forward to welcoming you once again to the annual South Worthington/Conwell Sunday as we honor the memory of those who inhabited the village in years past (including esteemed native son Russell Conwell), as well as celebrate our neighbors in the village and our lovely town, who help make this a special place to enjoy nature and living in the country!
Sincerely and with much appreciation,
Trustees and Officers of the South Worthington Church Association
