The Speed Limit on Old North Road (Route 143)
has been lowered to 20mph in the Construction Zone.
We’re doing what we can to try to keep the dust down with water and other means, but driving SLOW on the dirt road is key to helping to keep the dust down.
The folks living along the route of the Construction are being tremendously inconvenienced, to the extent of experiencing decreased air quality as a result of the dust being kicked up by traffic.
So please do what you can if you’re travelling that route to keep your speed down to 20 mph.
