News for the Community from Superintendent/Principal Dobosz – 11/8/2020

Good Evening Community,

Thank you all for your hard work with parent/teacher conferences.  It was wonderful to sit with families and teachers to listen to the wonderful work everyone is doing!  Thank you!

Could we ask for more beautiful weather in the middle of November?  The week ahead looks beautiful and students will enjoy teaching and learning outdoors!  The mornings will still be chilly, but the afternoons will be close to 70 degrees!

Earlier this week Governor Baker communicated new executive orders for the state of Massachusetts including executive orders about masks in schools.  Please follow the link to see the information pertaining to schools.   https://www.doe.mass.edu/covid19/on-desktop.html

We are on the eve of Thanksgiving and winter celebrations~ a time normally spent with large gatherings and family from far and wide.  While our school does not have any actual control over the private lives of our students and families (nor should we), we would like you to consider the following given our roles in collaborating with you to educate our students.  We want to continue the streak of NO CASES!

  • Please continue to promote proper mask wearing and social distancing.
  • Please be mindful of the Governor’s new indoor gathering advisory (10 people or less).
  • Please be mindful of the impact a Covid cluster resulting from a private gathering of students would have on our school.

We appreciate you taking this into consideration, especially as we head into the colder months of the school year.

Below are some friendly reminders:

  • Veterans Day is November 11, 2020: NO SCHOOL
  • School Committee: November 12 @ 6:30
  • Thanksgiving Break:  November 25th noon dismissal

Have a wonderful evening.
