News for the Community from Superintendent/Principal Dobosz – 10/18/2020

Good Morning Community,

This morning my fields were blanketed with a layer of frost which made for a slick hike with puppies.  As they raced around their back legs were sliding underneath them and they just kept sliding past one another!  Ollie, Cairo, Bear and Rosey were quite frisky and spent close to an hour racing around!  Now they are completely tuckered out and sleeping in front of the wood stove.

The cold weather is here to stay and I imagine our school fields will also be covered with frost during the early mornings.  Please make sure to send your child(ren) to school in layers!

Last Friday was Ms. Sam’s (kindergarten teacher) last day as she takes maternity leave to welcome her first child.   We cannot wait to meet the baby!

Below are a few reminders and updates.

  • This Tuesday  is the Parent COVID Q/A session with Nurse Sam and Dr. Schwab.  The zoom session is from 6:30 – 7:30.  We will send the zoom link out tomorrow via SWIFT K12.  Please watch for the link in your email!
  • This Friday, October 23rd is a noon dismissal.  The faculty will meet to discuss the  health and safety protocols for teaching and learning while indoors.
  • The R.H. Conwell School Council is looking for new members!  That includes students, parents, and staff!  The School Council will be working directly with me to solicit feedback from all of our stakeholders and then advising on ways to improve the experience of our students.  This year, the work of the School Council is more important than ever.  The Council meets on the last Wednesday of the month at 2:30 p.m.   If you are interested in serving or simply want more information, please email me.

Have a wonderful day!
