News for the Community from Superintendent/Principal Dobosz, June 14, 2020

Dear Community,

As this very unusual school year draws to a close, I would like to take a moment to extend my sincere thanks to R.H. Conwell faculty, Parents, School Committee and the many community members that reached out during these last months.  The spring has challenged us in many ways and none of us imagined that this school year would be disrupted and cut short in such a dramatic fashion.  We want to thank you for your kindness, patience and cooperation as our teachers worked hard to provide a remote learning experience that met each family in the moment ~ where they were on that day ~ or that particular week.  I applaud our teachers hard work, dedication and flexibility.

I realize that parents have questions and concerns about what school will look like this fall, and I will continue to share information on an ongoing basis as plans materialize and further guidance is issued by the Department of Education and the State.  Please make sure to continue to look for updates in my Sunday News!  I plan to organize a task force which will include school committee members, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders from our community.  The goal of the task force will be to support the district in creating an outline for reopening in the fall.  If you are interested in joining the task force please contact me before July 1st

Again, thank you for your continued support.  I wish you a healthy summer and look forward to seeing everyone in the fall.

Warmly,

Gretchen Morse-Dobosz
