The cafe carries on with one of our favorites – The Old Fashioneds – on March 10 from 7 – 9 at the Village Church in beautiful downtown Cummington.
The Old Fashioneds is a three-woman project based out of Western Mass/Southern VT. They began singing together outside a bar late one night, and haven’t stopped since! Driven by tight three-part harmonies and a strong rhythmic pulse, they draw repertoire from old-time fiddle tunes, bluegrass standards, Cajun dance music & early country. Across genre, they interpret old songs with a love of tradition, and intuitive feel for the music’s emotional core. They easily connect to audiences in settings from intimate concerts, to square dances, to rowdy barrooms.
Feel free to come early for warm cider, cookies and a bit of “sound check socializing”. Masks are encouraged, and alternate pews will be closed to provide some separation as we come together… yeah, I know…
