Update from the Worthington Board of Health – December 4, 2020

The Worthington Board of Health has been alerted to four new positive COVID-19 cases in the last week. In one case the exposure was college-related; the other three cases have an unknown source but are connected to each other. All positive cases are in isolation and under care; contact tracing and additional testing is ongoing. There have been nine positive cases in Worthington in the past month.

Cases are increasing, not only in Worthington but throughout Massachusetts and the country as a whole. We urge heightened caution: limiting visits, wearing masks indoors and outdoors (when not in the presence of people you live with), maintaining distances, heightened hand washing, etc. etc. If you recently returned after traveling out of state, we urge you to self-quarantine for 10-14 days or get tested to reduce time in quarantine.

Thank you.
