Worthington Town Hall
You may recall that about one year ago the town received a community Block Grant through the Hillltown Community Development Corp. (HCDC) to conduct a preliminary study to determine the need for – and interest in – building a Senior Center to serve our 482 residents, age 60 and over. At that time, your Selectboard appointed a committee to undertake this study. Since that time the committee has conducted a town-wide survey, met with three follow-up focus groups, and completed site feasibility assessments of four possible sites that seemed to fit the criteria obtained from the survey and focus groups. We have also looked at ball-park costs and possible funding sources.
We have now reached the point where we can share the results of that study and seek your critical input. Please plan to attend this meeting and share your thoughts. A town senior center represents a major undertaking and cannot proceed without your support
