We’ve had a number of inquiries about the proposed cell tower off Old North Road. The Worthington Planning Board approved their application and the Zoning Board of Appeals approved their request to extend the tower 50 feet higher than our Zoning By-Laws allow several months ago.
The company that is building the tower is under no timetable other than to build the tower before the permits expire next April. That being said, the builder, Centerline Communications, has recently applied for building permits for the tower and it’s associated building, which are required.
They told us that they expected to begin setting up erosion control this week, and start work on tree removal and access drive preparation.
They also stated that “AT&T has moved this site to the top of its priority list for FirstNet sites in the Commonwealth.” Their goal is to have them on the air this year.
