Emeritus Professor of History and International Relations at the University of Houston, Bailey Stone will speak on the role women played in Europe’s classic socio-political revolutions. He will focus on the mentalities and destinies of the royal, elitist and laboring class women in the turbulence of the 17th, 18th and early 20th Centuries in England, France and Russia, respectively. There will also be a brief discussion of Lafayette’s role in attempting to reform the monarchist government in France following the American Revolution.
