RE: Small Business Recycling
Many customers in Worthington and the surrounding Hilltowns value environmentally friendly businesses. Enterprises that visibly recycle tend to generate loyal customers, help preserve the environment and save $$$ in waste disposal fees.
The Town of Worthington has a mandatory recycling bylaw that requires residents and businesses to abide by State mandated waste bans. We encourage you to engage in proactive, responsible recycling of waste materials. This annual notice is a reminder that our transfer station Recycling Center (located at 64 Huntington Road), is an option for your recycling needs accepting:
- Recyclable paper and cardboard (shredded paper is no longer accepted)
- Glass, tin, aluminum containers
- Foil and plastic containers – labeled 1-7,
- Household re-chargeable batteries, mercury lamps and bulbs
- Electronics and compost
- Books, CDs, scrap metal and textiles
For more information visit the Town’s transfer station and recycling center website at: http://www.worthington-ma.us/Pages/WorthingtonMA_Disposal/index.
Thank you for doing your part to Recycle Right and Recycle Often and for contributing to the Greening of our community!
