Milling and Paving Begins!
Route 143 (Old North Road)
Week of Tuesday, 9/2 – Friday, 9/5/25
Crew # 1 – Drilling, blasting and rock removal continues at Ledge # 2 located at West End of project on Tuesday, 9/2, Wednesday, 9/3, Thursday, 9/4/25 and possible Friday, 9/6.
Crew # 2 – Start Road Reconstruction: Milling off blacktop and then installing a gravel base from Rte. 143 & East Windsor RD intersection to Liston’s. (This will take the month of September followed by blacktop paving of this area in October)
Similar to the work that was done on Phase one, the blacktop will be completely removed (it’s close to a foot thick) along with some of the gravel base. New base will be put in place, and in places the road is moving to one side or the other by as much as 3 feet. This will take all of September. Followed by paving of that section in October.
Note: At both construction locations between the work hours of 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM one-way alternating traffic will be in place with traffic officers directing traffic. At Ledge # 2 when blasting is occurring Rte. 143 will be closed & detoured if needed with detail officers on both sides for as short a period possible.
Route 112 (Huntington Road)
Week of Tuesday, 9/2 – Friday, 9/5/25
Starting Tuesday, 9/2, Roadway & side road Milling of the entire project beginning at the rotary and ending at Huntington Town Line
Week of Monday, 9/8 through Friday, 9/12/25
Complete Milling approx. on Wednesday, 9/10/25
Note: One way traffic will be in effect with traffic officers directing during work hours from 7:00 AMto 3:30 PM.
No work on 09/01/Monday, Labor Day Holiday
