What is the Community Story Archive?
The HCFPC created the Community Story Archive in response to community feedback that their experiences and ideas were being excluded from public conversations. In turn, the Community Story Archive aims to amplify stories of Hampshire County’s most marginalized community members, including public housing residents, rural dwellers, low-income parents, immigrants, senior citizens, and youth. Featuring audio recordings, written excerpts, artwork, photos, and objects on display, the Archive offers insight into the realities of food insecurity and the creative solutions imagined by those most impacted.
Funded by Mass in Motion, an initiative of MA Dept. of Public Health & Williamsburg Cultural Council, a local agency supported by MA Cultural Council. The Hampshire County Food Policy Council’s staffing and fiscal administrator is the Collaborative for Educational Services.
