After-School Program Updates
Session one of the program has been extended. It will end December 1st. Session Two will begin December 4th. Registration forms for session two will be handed out to students and available in Community News the week of November 27th.

PTO New Fundraiser: On 11/22 at 11:15 – 11:50 we will be hosting an ice cream social. If any parents would like to help serve or clean up we would greatly appreciate it!
- We are also looking for parents to help with the holiday bazaar on 12/13. We would need volunteers to help organize the donations, wrap the presents and help the children shop. We could also use some parents to assist with setting up and taking down the bazaar as well.
PTO meetings will typically be on the third Thursday of each month with the next one scheduled on November 16. This will be a hybrid meeting. Coffee and homemade cookies will be served if you attend the meeting in person! Hope to see you there!
From the Library: The library is hosting a book swap on 12/7 during library hours. They are looking for gently used books for the swap, please drop off by December 4.
| Update from the Nurse’s Office: Please send your children to school with warm outerwear! We are seeking donations of outgrown small gloves/mittens, hats, coats, and especially all sizes of snowpants. Postural screenings: will continue with all 5th and 6th grade students whose parent/guardian did not opt them out on Tuesday, Nov 14th. Girls should plan to wear or bring a sports bra or bathing suit top these days to facilitate screening for scoliosis while respecting privacy. The Town of Worthington will be hosting a vaccine clinic: FLU & COVID CLINIC: OPEN TO THE PUBLIC (ALL AGES) November 13th from 1pm-3pm @ Worthington Town Hall:TO PRE-REGISTER PLEASE VISIT THE LINK BELOWhttps://home.color.com/vaccine/register/northampton OR CALL# 413-587-1314 for assistance registering over the phone. *This is NOT a booster dose of COVID. This is an updated vaccine to better protect against current variants. We invite families to join us for breakfast and lunch each month. For November family lunch will be 11/21/23. Please be sure to sign up in advance so I can prepare enough. Also this month’s family lunch will be our Thanksgiving feast! Sign up sheets have been sent home. Money can be sent in with the sign up sheet or sign up and bring the money the day of. Any questions or concerns please email me atompkins@hr-k12.org.
We are also able to provide treats for special celebrations in the classrooms. Please check out the link here for more information and the order form.
The cafeteria now has a peanut free table at lunch time due to the presence of a student in the school with a severe peanut allergy.
2024 MCAS DATES: Below are the scheduled testing dates for students in grades 3-6. Please make sure to put these dates in your home schedules to avoid other scheduling conflicts.
- ELA: April 2 and 3
- Math: April 30 and May 1
- Science: May 14 (grade 5 only)
Worthington Playgroup: The Hilltown Family Center will host a PlayGroup at the Worthington Library beginning Monday, November 13. Infants at 8:30 a.m. and Toddlers at 9:45 a.m.
