Planning Board: Farmland of Local Importance

At the Planning Board meeting on June 26 (7pm, Town Hall) we will be discussing a project to identify “Farmland of Local Importance” in Worthington. The aim of the project is to make it easier conserve land for agricultural production and open space. Land that is identified as “Farmland of Local Importance” becomes potentially eligible for conservation funding from the USDA.

The project is a partnership between the American Farmland Trust and the USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service. Click here for more information

We invite anyone interested in this project to come to our meeting on June 26th at 7pm in Town Hall. Or you can email your concerns to [email protected]
