Founders Day is almost here!
Saturday July 1 at the Worthington Historical Society
Starting at 3:30.
The Historical Society is featuring a new exhibit, Harriet Langdon Pruyn Rice (1868-1935): Seeing Worthington Through a Different Lens. The exhibit officially opens its doors at 3:30, and it will stay open through the potluck dinner and into the evening. Under the tent we’ll have an encore performance from Aedan Madden’s jazz group and libations from Sena Farm Brewery and Stone Cellar Cidery.
A new element this year is the childrens’ activities from 3:30 to 5:30. In addition to lawn games, Sam Kulik – local son and accomplished musician – will captain a “bash the trash” workshop for kids. Start collecting sturdy plastic bottles, tin cans, cardboard or plastic tubes, yogurt cups, chopsticks, rubber bands, hubcaps, broken lamps, and any other “trash” with potential for turning into a musical instrument!
We look forward to seeing you on the 1st.
