WORTHINGTON BOARD OF HEALTH ADVISORY

March 25, 2020

The Worthington Board of Health is strongly advising anyone who has recently traveled to Worthington  from areas outside the state to self-quarantine for 14 days. This includes people who are opening their summer residences early, or who are sheltering with friends and relatives. Of special concern are people who have arrived from areas with high levels of infections such as the New York City/Long Island/Westchester area; the Seattle area; and urban centers in California, Louisiana, Illinois, Michigan, and Florida or those who have recently returned from long journeys via highways, trains, or air. Johns Hopkins has an enlargeable map that shows the density of infections in various cities in the US and throughout the world that can be used for reference: https://gisanddata.maps.arcgis.com/apps/opsdashboard/index.html#/bda7594740fd40299423467b48e9ecf6

Please isolate yourself as best you can; take your temperature daily; and, monitor for such symptoms as fever, dry cough and shortness of breath. There may be other symptoms as well. For more information, go to:

Self-quarantine guidelines from the Mass Department of Health are posted on the Town of Worthington website.

SELF-QUARANTINE and SOCIAL ISOLATION IS THE ONLY TOOL WE HAVE RIGHT NOW TO LIMIT THE SPREAD OF THIS DISEASE. WE APPRECIATE YOUR WORKING WITH US TO ACHIEVE THIS GOAL.

THANK YOU.
