Route 143
They are on schedule to complete the retaining wall, just west of East Windsor Rd, and Route 143 will be open by end of day Friday for 2-way traffic (no more light at that location.)

Next week they will be drilling and blasting at Ledge Cut #2, close to the Peru line. They will start Monday, with a couple days of drilling and then will start blasting mid-week. Like the first section, the road will have temporary closures for up to 2 hours when they do the blasting. The detour at East Windsor Road will continue to be up.

There are rock outcroppings still in Ledge Cut #1, in the area where they’ve already been blasting, and they will come back to those. The plan is to see what they find at Ledge Cut #2 and then address any issues at both locations.
We’ll start work on grading Lindsay Hill Rd next week, now that traffic should get back to normal there with Route 143 back open.

A different division of the DOT that works on Bridge Maintenance is working on one of the bridges on Old North Road. You may run into lane closures for that.
They are continuing to work on drainage and stream crossings in the section from Listons to East Windsor Rd. That section will get fully reclaimed and re-paved when that work is complete, this construction season (date TBA).
Route 112
The plan is to mill the road the week of August 25 and then do the paving the week of September 1. There won’t be road closures, but there will be single lanes as they work.
You may have noticed additional shoulder and guard rail work going on further down the road in Huntington. That is additional maintenance work being done by the Mass Dept. of Transportation.
