Dear Community:

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!   For all of those celebrating Mother’s Day this weekend, I wish you  a relaxing and enjoyable time with family/friends.  I plan to visit the Tulip Festival in Hancock, NH with Owen and Tatum!

Annual Town Meeting: A huge thanks to the Worthington community for the unwavering support for the school budget.  We are so incredibly grateful to work in a community that believes and supports their community school!  As always, I welcome all community members – whether you have kids here or not – to come visit the school!.  I love giving tours of the classrooms and talking about the incredible teaching and learning that happens at R.H. Conwell.

First and Second Graders Bird Count:  From January through April, first and second grade students observed and counted birds during the last 5 minutes or so of each Friday’s session. Students gained an appreciation for the beauty and wonder of birds, and are able to identify at least a favorite! At the end of our counting period, the students entered the names and some of the counts into a spreadsheet. They chose two charts to display the data, and discussed what types, how many, the greatest, and the fewest counts during the whole period. Now, they are sharing their efforts with the school community on our bulletin board.  Please take a look!

Students preschool through sixth grade are welcome, and must be accompanied by a responsible adult.  We kindly ask that middle and high school aged siblings do not attend, or come as peer support.
