January 29, 2019 – 6:30 PM at Town Hall
Phase one of the Route 143 Project is set to go out to bid in July 2019. Starting at the Chesterfield town line and proceeding to Cold Street, the scheduled work will include full-depth pavement reclamation, widening, selected drainage system improvements and safety enhancements. A mini-roundabout is proposed in Worthington center to replace the existing traffic signal and improve traffic flow and safety.
This project has been accepted into the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). TIP is federally funded and administered by the State. The estimated cost is $8,900,000. A mailing with guidelines and property maps has gone out to all abutters along the route. The informational meeting Tuesday, January 29th will give all property owners the opportunity to have questions answered by the project design engineer.
