April 23, 2018 – Overview of Broadband Options

Since June 2016, the Worthington Broadband Committee has been meeting weekly to understand the process of bringing broadband internet access to Worthington, taking advantage of funds the state has made available.  Over this time, the options available to Worthington have changed dramatically.  In May 2017, Worthington elected a Municipal Light Board composed of three members, all of whom served on the Broadband Committee.  The two bodies are now working together, continuing the process that the Worthington Broadband Committee started.  Our mission continues to be bringing a set of options before the Selectboard and Town residents to allow them to decide which best fits their needs.

The Worthington Municipal Light Board & Broadband Committee have produced this chart as an overview of Worthington’s broadband options as of March 29, 2018.  It gives a summary of the status to date, broken down by category.
